History

Pamela has extensive experience working with individuals living with obesity, chronic health conditions, and those caught in a cycle of dieting and weight struggles. Her approach is rooted in education, empowerment, and sustainable behaviour change, helping clients move away from fad diets and toward long-term, balanced habits.

A key element of her work includes structured meal planning and education around food groups and portions. She believes this foundational knowledge is essential to help clients understand their nutritional needs, create structure in their eating habits, and feel confident in making informed food choices.

She has extensive experience in offering nutritional support for post-bariatric surgery patients, including those who have undergone sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass. Pamela provides structured guidance through each stage of recovery, from clear fluids to full fluids, mashed, soft, and ultimately a regular diet. She has successfully followed up with many patients for up to two years post-surgery, and in some cases, even longer, supporting their long-term weight management and nutritional needs.

Throughout her career, Pamela has had the privilege of working with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, allowing her to deliver nutrition care that is respectful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive.

Through advanced counselling techniques such as motivational interviewing and goal setting, Pamela delivers personalized care that considers each client’s unique challenges, motivations, and stage of change. She believes that without addressing these core factors, even the most accurate dietary advice can fall short.

Trained in intuitive eating principles, Pamela supports clients in reconnecting with their internal cues of hunger, fullness, and satisfaction, helping them rebuild trust in their bodies as a core part of the healing process. She helps clients move away from rigid food rules and the constant pressure of the scale, guiding them toward a more peaceful, sustainable relationship with food and body.
