How It Works

How It Works: Step-By-Step Guide

Are you looking to book an appointment with a nutritionist or dietitian?

Here’s how the booking process works:

1. Which package?

Please take a look at the packages and decide which of the four, One-Time Counsel (with or without a meal plan), 4- or 8-session packages, appeals to you the most.

2. How would you like to receive nutrition counselling: in-person or virtually?

Next decide if you’d like to receive nutrition counselling in person at one of our 4 locations or via phone, Skype, FaceTime, Zoom or Google Meet.

You can now join many of our clients who resort to virtual counselling. Rest assured, they are just as effective.

3. Office locations

If you prefer to have your sessions conducted in person, please take a look at our four Greater Toronto Area office locations and decide which is the most convenient.

4. Dietitian or Nutritionist?

Decide if you’d like to see a registered nutritionist or registered dietitian.

What is the difference? FAQ

We encourage you to check your insurance coverage as you may have annual coverage for a nutritionist, dietitian, or both.

5. Contact us to book an appointment (initial session)

Simply get in touch with us, and we’ll let you know what appointment time slots are available. Don’t forget to specify:

  • which package is of interest to you
  • whether you’d like to receive counselling in-person or virtually
  • if you’d like to see a registered nutritionist or registered dietitian
  • if you select in-person, let us know at which location

We then book an appointment for the initial session.

6. Intake form

After booking an appointment for the initial session, we will send you an intake form designed to give our nutritionists and dietitians a clearer, more in-depth picture of your health concerns and goals, allowing us to serve you better.

We ask you to fill out the form and return it digitally prior to the initial session.

7. First appointment—initial session

During the first appointment (i.e. initial session) we will co-create a personalized meal plan (not applicable to One Time Counsel, No Meal Plan) based on your intake form and input.

8. Meal plan arrives

A few days after the initial session session, you will receive the personalized meal plan designed to help you navigate your way through meals, so you can get started on your way to reaching your goal.

You will also receive a variety of helpful tips and important guidelines to help you navigate tricky situations, as well as recipes.

9. Schedule follow-up sessions

After the initial session, we schedule weekly or biweekly follow-up sessions, as our schedules permit, to check in, monitor progress, make adjustments, q & a, etc.

10. Cancellations and rescheduling

If for whatever reason you’re unable to make it to your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance, but the more time you can give us, the better we can serve all clients—including you.

11. Payment

Please keep in mind that payment is due upon the first visit (i.e. initial session).

We accept the following methods of payment: credit card, electronic money transfer or cash.
