History

Julie has worked in the field of nutrition as a counsellor, consultant, writer, speaker and health advocate for well over 15 years.

In 2006, she opened JM Nutrition–a personalized nutrition counselling and consulting service. Over the years, JM Nutrition has served thousands of clients from all walks of life. JM Nutrition now has 4 Greater Toronto Area locations: Midtown Toronto, Scarborough Toronto, Mississauga and Vaughan.

History

Vanessa Phillips is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with over 11 years of experience in the nutrition, health and wellness sector. 

After completing a Bachelor of Science Degree, Vanessa worked as an EMT for a number of years. This unique experience sparked her interest in preventative medicine.

Having a deep interest in the biological role of food in health and disease, she enrolled in a Masters degree in Nutritional Science accredited by the Middlesex University in London, UK. Alongside the completion of a Personalized Nutrition Practice Diploma, Vanessa graduated with merit as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. 

While Vanessa is most comfortable working with clients who have a variety of physiological imbalances, she is dedicated to evolving her skills in performance nutrition. Along with her knowledge of the principles of sport nutrition and supplementation, she currently uses macronutrient distribution to optimize her client’s individual requirements to enhance their athletic capacity.

In addition, Vanessa is inherently passionate about the education side of her profession. For over nine years, she has been actively researching and writing content for various platforms across the health and well-being sector.

She has written press releases and was Managing Editor for a doctor-led subscription newsletter. Vanessa also provided education and health awareness pieces for an employee wellness portal, authoring thousands of blog articles as a means to promote positive behaviour change in her readers.

Last, Vanessa is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine and Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Professionals.

Furthermore, one of Terence’s primary goals is to assist athletes increase their strength as well as improve their conditioning, endurance and metabolic health.

What’s more, Terence understands that nutritional science is fluid and people need to be able to implement strategies in a range of settings, according to their individual disciplines and lifestyles. Nataly Georgieva graduated from the Master of Science in Foods & Nutrition (MScFN) program at Brescia University College, Western University. As the MScFN program is accredited by Dietitians of Canada, Nataly completed her dietetic internship at various placements to become a Registered Dietitian (RD).

In addition, Nataly is licensed with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and is an active member of Dietitians of Canada.

 

History

During her dietetic internship, Nataly completed placements at the Diabetes Education Centre – St. Joseph’s Healthcare in London, Public Health – Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU), Eating Disorders Unit – Ontario Shores, amongst others.  As a result, she gained experience in the following areas: diabetes, eating disorders, food industry, public health, multi-organ transplant and long-term care. 

Naturally, such a well-rounded experience allowed her to develop strong skills in working with diverse patient populations. On account of these experiences, Nataly is well-equipped to help clients manage a variety of conditions.

Furthermore, Nataly conducted an independent research study which pertained to assessing the knowledge, beliefs and pattern of consumption of protein shakes among gym users in London, ON.

History

For many years, Nathalie struggled with hormonal balance and poor digestion, eventually being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Adrenal Fatigue. After turning to Holistic Nutrition and discovering the healing powers of food and natural supplementation, she was able to restore her digestive health.

Nathalie continues to be inspired by the ability of nutrition in the prevention and management of disease. For this reason, she aims to educate her clients on how they too can achieve a healthier and more balanced life via nutrition. 

Throughout her wellness journey, Nathalie also spent a great deal of time in the kitchen. Finding culinary inspiration, she developed a passion for healthy cooking.
