What are the best healthy restaurants in Mississauga?

Due to the incredible popularity of our previous best healthy restaurants blog posts, we decided to compile a list of the best healthy restaurants in Mississauga as well. And rightly so, as many of our clients live in the area and attend our JM Nutrition Mississauga office. So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look.

Best Healthy Restaurants in Mississauga:

Raw Aura Organic Cuisine

Location: 94 Lakeshore Rd. E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1E3

Raw Aura Organic Cuisine restaurant offers various healthy options from appetizers such as kale chips and Mediterranean platter to salads, wraps and zoodles (noodles made out of zucchini).

As their website states, the food at this restaurant is “raw, organic, vegan, plant-based and free of refined sugar, dairy and gluten. All handcrafted from scratch. Made from locally sourced and/or organic ingredients.”

The desserts, too, are sweetened naturally with agave or dates. The restaurant also carries nut free options for those who are allergic.

In light of all these facts, we can safely include Raw Aura Organic Cuisine as one of the healthy food restaurants in Mississauga, and the reason why our nutritionists for weight management continue to recommend it to our clients.

Recommended food items:

Avo tartare, miso me please, zucchini noodles dishes

Nourishmoi

Location: 229 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1G8

Nourishmoi is another good stop for healthy food in Mississauga. This is a vegan restaurant, offering a wide variety of food ranging from salads, soups, burgers, bowls, sandwiches, desserts and even breakfast items such as organic multigrain flour pancakes.

What’s more, the restaurant makes everything from scratch and does not take any short cuts, such as the use of a microwave, deep fryer and canned food.
As an added bonus, everything on the menu can be made gluten-free!

The restaurant’s website claims “One of our guiding principles at Nourishmoi is to lighten the pressure we all add to the earth and our environment. We are committed to sourcing local and organic ingredients without animal fat or protein.” This is a win-win as we can support small local businesses whilst making healthier choices.
