Qualifications
Carol Holland BA, BSc, RD, CBE
Carol graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Nutritional Science, and completed her dietetic internship at The Ottawa Hospital. She earned her Certified Bariatric Educator designation in 2019, and received a Diploma in Counselling for Obesity Management from the Dalhousie University Department of Family Medicine in 2023.
Carol is licensed with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians. She is a member of Dietitians of Canada and Obesity Canada.
History
Carol has been a registered dietitian for over 15 years, helping people take charge of their health and create a more positive relationship with food and body. With a strong background in primary care, she provides medical nutrition therapy for people of all ages and stages of life.
Carol uses a non-diet approach to help determine what diet plan will work best for each individual, no matter what health concern is top of mind. Particularly skilled in weight management, gut disorders and eating disorder treatment, she will challenge clients to set realistic goals in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
Whether planning a pregnancy, managing meals for a busy family, working to increase vitality in retirement, or striving to make peace with the number on the scale, Carol can provide evidence-based strategies to help clients make sustainable change. A believer in small, consistent goals and supportive accountability, her motto is “Progress, not perfection”.
