For most of my adult life I have always said that "if I could only lose 10 pounds I would be happy". What I didn't want to acknowledge was the unhealthy eating patterns that I had developed and the many attempted and failed fad diets I had tried over the years. What I didn't want to say was that 10 pounds was the least of my worries.
Then I met Julie. Julie was a straight talking, non-judgmental, very kind and extremely knowledgeable person whom I liked immediately. She made me keenly aware of the bad habits I had picked up but was also quick to point out the good things that I was doing. She developed a program for me that was SO EASY to follow, I still can't believe it.
For a person who used to fear the scale, I went to Julie's office week after week really excited and ready to jump onto her scale and see for myself that the number kept coming down and down. Over my 12 weeks with Julie I lost 20lbs; which is double the number that I thought would make me happy. Obviously, I was ecstatic with these results but more than that, I had changed the way I thought about food and the way food worked into my life. No longer did food control me, I controlled it.
To date, I am on a maintenance program with Julie and have lost several more pounds on my own. I am not looking to loose more weight; I am now trying to introduce more and more exercise into my life style to keep my new body even healthier.
Throughout my experience with Julie and her methods, I was never made to feel like I couldn't eat something, couldn't do something or had to miss out on anything because I was "dieting". In fact, I don't even use the word "diet" anymore. This is a lifestyle change and is a change that you must be ready to make. Not because it is difficult to do or to achieve results from but because you have to be ready to live with the consequences of such a change. You will look better, feel better and will become an active proponent of such a change for everyone around you. My friends and family have all commented on how good I look. Some people can't quite put their finger on it but just say - wow, you look great. My husband tells me I look fantastic every day. That is definitely a great way to start your day.
Julie's program works for two reasons. The first is that it is a healthy and easy way to take back the control over what you eat, when you eat it and why you eat it. The second reason is Julie herself. She is so kind and so straight forward and so knowledgeable. You want to succeed when you are around her. I recommend this program to EVERYONE and believe me, I do.
